My ADORABLE Neice Singing

I had to post this because it's so stinkin' cute; and for the benefit of my mother-in-law and father-in-law on their mission. Bryn is Jeff's sister's little girl and she is so cute. While we were camping, she sang this song for me and I caught it on my video camera. Make sure to turn down the volume on my music at the very bottom of my blog so you can get the full effect.

Family Campout

Jeff's family loves to go camping. We weren't able to stay overnight at all this year, but we always go up at least one night for dinner and a little horse ride.

All the cousins roasting their hot dogs for dinner.
The girls LOVE to go horse riding. Abbi is even getting good enough to go all by herself without a lead rope.
Mr. Korver on top of the horse for the very first time.

Abbi, Hallie and Jeff went on a little 30 minute long horse ride in the canyon. Korver stayed with me back at the camp. He'll be old enough in a couple more years. But for now, he gets to keep his momma company.

A Candyland Birthday Party

Monday was the day of Hallie's friend birthday party. She invited a few friends over and we had a Candyland Party. We set up a giant Candyland game in the back yard and had the kids find clues to fill up their bags with treats. It was a lot of fun. They went to different stations and had to do certain things to get their treats. One of the stations was a cupcake decorating station that the kids loved. Jordann came down to help out with the festivities.

Here are all the kids in front of the Candyland people. Her friends got her some really fun stuff and they new exactly what she liked. It was a really fun party and I'm so glad all the little kids had a good time.

Family Party

The day after Hallie's actual birthday, we had her family party. She got a lot of fun stuff at her party and she seemed pretty darn excited. She got a cupcake maker from Cody, Kristen and Weston. A really cute outfit from Grandma Miney (Jordann's mom.) A princess kitchen from Jordan, Chris and Kayden. A pair of flipflops, a swimming suit, Minnie Mouse ears, and 2 really cute outfits from Michelle all in a Mickey Mouse bag. A Little Mermaid Barbie, Little mermaid Jammies, and a REALLY cute purse from my crafty mom (she made the purse and also a dress for the Mermaid Barbie. I swear, she should go into a sewing business, she's AMAZING.) A really cute outfit from my grandma and grandpa. And Jeff's parents sent her some money (they are on a mission right now.)

Let's Decorate The Cake

I LOVE making and decorating cakes for my kids birthday's. This year Hallie requested a Tiger cake. The story behind this is that she has a tiger that my mom and dad bought her her when we were in Disneyland last year. Her name is Kyger. Hallie has loved Kyger right to death. She sleeps with her every night and pretty much goes everywhere with us. Hence the Tiger cake. Anyway, I found the idea on familyfun.com. They have tons of ideas for kids birthday cakes. So we got out all the stuff and went to town decorating.

Here is Hallie with her completed Tiger cake. Kyger is sitting on her lap.
We had to add some boys to make it a girl tiger.

And The Party Goes On

After Mcdonald's, we came home and let her open up her presents from us. She got a V Smile Pocket and a game from us. Abbi gave her a Dora game for her V Smile and Korver got her a case to keep it all in.

She loved all of her presents and they have kept her very busy.

Party Animals

Hallie's birthday fell on the day that Jeff's family had their family reunion and the day that my cousin got married. So we weren't able to do her family birthday party on her actual birthday. But Jeff and I still wanted to make the day special for her. Early in the morning, we had to be up at the family reunion to help with breakfast. Afterwards we came home and I went grocery shopping for a few last minute cake decorating things. While I was out, I got her her very own piece of cake that we put candles in when I got home and sang to her. I also got her some balloons. After that we went to my cousins wedding ceremony. After that got over we asked her where she wanted to go and eat. She, of course, chose McDonalds.

Here's little Miss Hallie at McDonald's enjoying her birthday dinner. While we were there it down poured rain. We're talking lightning crashing all around us and rain was pouring rain. The kids loved it because it meant we got to stay longer. There was no way Jeff and I were going out in that rain. I think we ended up being in the McDonald's playland for about 1 1/2 hours.
Korver loves him some fries.
We got some icecream from McDonald's, too.

It's Someone's Birthday!!!

This little peanut is celebrating her fourth birthday tomorrow. I can't believe she's going to be 4 already. My, how time flies. Hallie is a delight in every single way. You can't help but smile when you're around her. Even when she's having one of many melt downs throughout the day, I find myself giggling inside. I don't know what I'd do without my little Hallie Bug!

Here are some things about Hallie:

She loves Chex cereal

She loves cookies (of any kind)

Loves to watch movies; her favorites are Ice Age, Little Mermaid, and Horton Hears a Who

Loves to make her little brother laugh

Nothing is better than hanging out with her big sister (when her big sister will allow it)

Loves popcorn

Love chips

She's small, but she has a HUGE personality

Happy Birthday Hallie! We love you so much!

A Lovely Weekend.

Last weekend my friend Cindy and I planned a little getaway for us and our girls, Pieper and Abbi. We decided to get out of this crappy weather we've been having and head for sunny St. George. We got tickets to go see Annie at Tuacahn as well. My awesome friend, Rilla, graciously loaned us her condo for the weekend which saved us TONS of money. We decided to head down a day earlier than planned. So we left Thursday afternoon after Jeff got home from work and arrived in St. George at about 9:00. We hit the condo to hurry and unpack and headed to the grocery store to buy some milk and cereal for breakfast the next morning. We woke up the next morning and decided a trip to Walmart was in order. I'm embarassed to say that we spent 2 1/2 hours at that evil place. We thought it was pretty funny how we walked around Walmart in St. George, when we have one about 5 minutes away from our house. The girls bought some fun make up and I walked away with way more than I needed (I took half of it back the day we left!)
After our trip to Walmart, we decided to hang out at the pool for a little while. So we headed back to the condo to put on our swimming suits. It was a little cloudy, but perfect for laying out and swimming. It was still about 85 degrees outside. We then got ready for the play. After a quick bite to eat at Cafe' Rio, we headed out to Tuacahn. The play was so cute and I would highly recommend it. Especially if you have little girls. Also, Tuacahn is so cool. I have been there a few times before and I've been very impressed each time. Afterwards we went back to the condo and went to sleep. Saturday was rainy, so we decided it would be a great shopping day. We shopped til we dropped then headed to dinner at The Pizza Factory. We saw that there was a sneak peak for the movie, The Proposal, so we decided to get tickets and check it out. It was so funny. Some of the parts were a little too grown up for the little girls, but they loved it and so did we. After the movie we went back to the condo and decided to take a late night dip in the pool since we had about an hour and a half before it closed. I love swimming at night.

The next morning it was time to leave, so we started cleaning the condo and washing the bedding. While our last load was finishing up, we went to breakfast at The Bear Paw Cafe'. It's so yummy and if you are ever in St. George, GO THERE!!! It's worth the wait. While we were at breakfast Cindy and I both commented on how we could use another day at the pool and another chilled out night of watching movies and pigging out on pizza and popcorn. Neither one of us had obligations on Monday, so we decided to make it happen. We called our husbands, who were more than willing to let us stay even though it meant a minor shuffling around of the kids who stayed home. So it was set, we were staying another day and night and Abbi and Pieper couldn't have been happier. We got back from breakfast and headed to the pool for 5 1/2 hours!!! That night we loaded up on treats and got pizza for dinner.
It was such a fun trip and I can't wait to do it again! Thanks girls for making it a great little vacation!

This Says It All

Michelle is really wanting to get her photography business up and going. So in efforts to make that happen she has been busy shooting people (with her camera.) She's made up some awesome fliers so I picked my favorite one and decided to post it on my blog. I know I've said it before, but she really is amazing. I love the pictures she takes. She took all of the ones on my slide show at the top of my blog. Anyway, she's offering a really great deal right now so hurry and contact her. The information you need is on the flier. You won't be disappointed. (click on the flier to make it larger to get information from it.)

Splish Splash!!

My kids have been begging me to go swimming this year already (and we're only a week into summer vacation.) So we decided to call Teressa and see if her and Rain wanted to meet us at the Lehi Legacy Pool last week. I had never been to this pool before but we loved it. It is part indoors and part outdoors and has tons of fun stuff for the kids to climb on. It also has a big slide and some little slides that the kids loved.
It was Korver's first time swimming and he did great.
I had to put this picture in because it makes me laugh. Not the best of Mr. K, but it's the only one I got of Abbi because she was off playing and going on the big slide most of the time.
Hallie had tons of fun in the water. She also went down the little slides all by herself.
Rain was being really cute in the water. She loved splashing and even went down the little slides with Abbi a few times. I really wish I would have taken more pictures of that because they were so cute together.
These bucket chairs for the babies were the best part of the whole pool. They were attached to a spring at the top so the kids could jump and splash. Teressa and I put Rain and Korver in them and sat and watched them play. Korver was so funny. He went crazy in them and loved them so much.
Now really, does it get any cuter than this?

Dance Recital

The girls had their end of the year dance recital last weekend. They both did so great and looked so pretty all dolled up with their make-up and hair done. Grandma Diane, Grandpa Roger, Grandma Jenny, Grandma Miney, Jordann, Michelle, Teressa, Rain, Nyla and Great Grandma DeLoris were all there to watch. Jeff was out of town on business so he wasn't able to see the night of the performance, but he was able to go to the dress rehearsal the night before.
Michelle took these pictures with her camera. I had to steal them from her since mine was too whimpy.

Good job, Abs and Hals, on another great dance performance.
