Saturday morning as I was getting ready I opened my bathroom door to find this...

Hallie was on my bed reading Lacie a story. Seriously, does it get much cuter than this?

My Very Own Homework

Hallie loves to do homework (something I'm sure won't last as she starts to get older.) She has been practicing her letters lately and is starting to get so good at them. When she came home from preschool one day last week, she got out her paper and pencil and got busy writing away.
She always says to me, "Mom, I need to do my homework so I will be all ready for Kindergarten next year."

I love this little cutie more than words can say!

No But Seriously

I am in L.O.V.E. with these pictures even if Lacie was not into having her picture taken this particular day. Michelle came to our house and did a quick photo shoot. I love each and every one. Even if the little stinker did give an obscene hand gesture in one of them ;)

I love the above picture and also the one below. I wasn't planning on being in any of the pictures, but the silhouette of the one below is really nice, I think. You can't even tell that I'm in sweats and no make up. I wish all pictures could be like that.

Cuddle Bug

I said before that Lacie loves to cuddle. One of her favorite people to cuddle with is Abbi. Usually when things wind down around here at night we just hang out and watch t.v. together as a family. Abbi is usually the first to grab Lacie and snuggle with her on the couch. It's really quite cute.

Korver's Favorite Thing

My Grandpa Mark is doing a project for us in the backyard and has been digging a giant hole with his tractor to put our trampoline in. We got home from running errands the other day and Grandpa was hard at work. Korver heard the tractor outside and went right over to the window. He calls anything that is motorized a "broom-broom." He was glued to the window for over 20 minutes and was so excited the whole time. He kept saying, "Mom! Broom-broom, broom-broom!"

It was so fun to watch him be so excited about something. He was in awe watching Grandpa dig out the dirt and then put it in a pile and then start the whole process over again. He would get really excited every time the tractor would back up or swing it's shovel.
After about 20 minutes or so, Korv moved onto playing with his own "broom-broom's" in the house but would periodically check back at the window to make sure Grandpa Mark was hard at work.

1 Month Old

Our little Lacie is already one month and I really can't believe it's been that long since I had her. Part of me is sad. The other part of me loves when they get a little older and can start interacting more. I LOVE when they start to coo and smile. Although she's not quite smiling yet, other when she's dreaming, she has started to coo and talk to us a little bit. It's one of my favorite sounds right now.
Here are some things about Lacie:

• She loves to cuddle. She's definitely our most snuggly baby.
• Sleeps well through the night. She only gets up once to eat and have her diaper changed and then it's off to dreamland again.
• Will follow us with her eyes when one of us walks across the room.
• Loves her swing. It's a quick fix for fussy time.
• Starting to like her binkie more and more.
• Is a good eater and will nurse or take a bottle. She doesn't seem to care as long as she's getting food.
• Loves bath time.
• Loves to be talked to.
• Doesn't like car rides very much. Pretty much screams her head off each and every time we are in the car; it's frustrating.
• Has captured each and every one of our hearts.
• Pretty sure this little one will get whatever she wants from any of us throughout her entire life. She's spoiled with a capital "S".

It's so much fun to have a baby in the house again, even though she is a lot of work. I really could hold her all day, and when I can't, she's usually being held by one of her sisters or her daddy. She's a joy and we're loving every minute of her (well except for maybe the car rides :))
